Description
The objectives of this course are:
- Discuss the neurohypophyseal role in the regulation of the bodies fluid and electrolyte balance.
- Identify the various disorders which occur when there is a disruption in the normal fluid and electrolyte balance.
- Describe the hormones secreted by the pituitary and the associated function.
- Discuss the following clinical conditions associated with growth hormone excess/deficiency, adrenal insufficiency, Cushing syndrome, diabetes insipidus, syndrome of inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone and cerebral salt-wasting syndrome.
